Lazy Summer Day

Here are a few moments from yesterday on the street. They include: reading, being silly, and watching our neighbor carve an eagle sculpture out of a tree stump - cool!

Fourth of July Prep

4th of July is just around the corner and we have a lot of prep work to do around here. First things first we have to decorate and get our parade flyers delivered. Later today I need to make a phone call to the city to see if we can get a fire truck out again this year. And of course I will have to reserve the margarita machine soon too....

Street Fun

Spring on Cedarview is so exciting, the kids can hardly contain themselves as the front doors start opening and the gang starts coming out. We love our neighbors and we love to hang out together - how lucky is that? I feel like last Saturday was our first official impromptu neighborhood gathering of the season. You could tell we all felt that ting of anticipation for the warmer summer nights when no one has school the next day and we can all eat on the front porches together and just play.
