All Is Love

Our Fort:

The music for this short clip is from Where the Wild Things Are Soundtrack. The title of the song is All is Love and the artist is Karen O and The Kids. The entire CD is great and one that I highly recommend.

This just in: Another Sendak Post

Upon opening the paper this morning I found a rather large article on Sendak and an exhibit showing at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco. It is called There's a Mystery There: Sendak on Sendak, and it looks wonderful. It will be showing through January 19th 2010. If you are headed to SF anytime soon you should try to swing by and take a looksie, I know that we are going to!

Let The Wild Rumpus Start

Is anyone else out there as excited about the release of the movie Where The Wild Things Are as we are? Pretty much it is all we can talk about around here. We were thrilled to find the new Wild Things book based on the movie and the music from the soundtrack is streaming through our house and car at all times. We are so ready for the release we can hardly stand it!!!!!

When we were at the book store buying our copy of the new book we also picked up a brochure from the National Wildlife Federation with a variety of lesson plans and activities based on Where The Wild Things Are. You can find a copy of it here. One of the activities they mention is fort building. The people over at We Love you So are taking it a step further and turning it into a contest. Unfortunately the deadline is tomorrow, Monday Oct. 12th, but if you hurry you can still make it. We just might try to pull something together after school tomorrow, if we do I will make sure to post some pics. So get your Wild Rumpus started and have some fun!!!!
